Managing your curriculum in OASIS

Enrolling for regular courses

Guidelines for enrolling for regular courses

PhD students can log in to OASIS (the Education and Student Administration System at Ghent University) in order to enrol for regular courses organised at Ghent University (including some organised by the Doctoral School). For all other courses (including specialist courses and transferable skills seminars organised by the Doctoral School) the registration remains with the organisers. These courses will be added to the curriculum by the Doctoral School Office (in some cases the PhD students will have to provide a proof of successful participation).

Annual submission: self-reflection report

Guidelines for submitting the annual self-reflection report

From 1 April until 30 June each PhD student has to upload and submit the annual self-reflection report. An approved self-reflection report is a necessary prerequisite for the activation of the online re-enrolment for the next academic year.

Final submission: doctoral defence + conferences/publication

Guidelines for submitting the curriculum for final evaluation

PhD students who have a compulsory programme or who want to obtain the certificate of the Doctoral Training Programme need to submit their curriculum for final evaluation when finishing their PhD thesis. PhD students are requested to do this 20 working days prior to the faculty board meeting deciding upon admittance to the doctoral exam. Items that will be checked at this point are the publication and three conference contributions, as well as the doctoral defence.
